Registered Massage Therapist

As a Registered Massage Therapist in our clinic, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and patients. • Conduct assessments of patients' physical conditions, needs and preferences to customize massage sessions
• Perform various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, active release and cranialsacral therapy
• Collaborate with physiotherapy, osteopathy, family physicians, nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and document treatment in patients chart according to HHC policies and the clinical documentation standards of the CMTO
• Perform massage therapy on a variety of Homewood patients across all program areas and on Homewood clinical staff working onsite
• Contribute to a positive and supportive clinic environment, promoting a culture of compassion, understanding and empathy for patients living with mental health challenges and chronic pain.

What we’re looking for:

• Applicants must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
• New graduates are welcome
• Interest in the intersection between massage therapy and mental health
• Empathy, compassion and a patient-centric approach to care, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body connection in the treatment of pain
• Registered provider with Veteran’s Affairs and Green Shield and asset.
• Ability to direct bill for services through TELUS eCalims, Medavie Blue Cross and providerConnect
