This is a full-time temporary position from March 17 2026 to June 26 2026.

C.J. Schurter School is located in the Town of Slave Lake in northern Alberta in the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River. It is located 257 km north of Edmonton on the southeast shore of Lesser Slave Lake at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 88.

C.J. Schurter School maintains a strong focus on literacy and numeracy and utilizes a balanced approach to instruction. Staff members work with literacy and math instructional practice to address the literacy and numeracy goals of the school through grade level professional learning environments.

C.J. Schurter School uses Kindness Counts to guide their character education philosophy and are proud that programming centers around supporting the development of behaviors and mindset which have positive effects on self-confidence problem solving ability communication skills and helps develop a positive school culture and atmosphere.

Requirements :

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Education Degree
• Must have (or be eligible to obtain) an Alberta Teaching Certificate or proof of application from Alberta Education Teacher Certification.
• TQS or proof of application from the Alberta Teachers Association.
• Successful candidates must produce an ORIGINAL acceptable recent (less than six months old) Criminal Records Check which must include Vulnerable Sector Check.
