Senior SQL Developer

Required Education :

• A University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Required skills :

• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrated IM / IT experience (15 Years)
• A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining health applications for the Regional Health Authority and / or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction (5 Years)
• A minimum of ten (10) years demonstrated experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) including the creation of SSIS packages (10 Years)
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English

Desired Skills :

• Demonstrated experience in the last 5 years, working as a Senior Programmer / SQL Developer on a health analytics or health reporting database system for Regional Health Authorities and / or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction (5 Years +)
• Demonstrated experience with relational database systems including SQL Server (version 2012 or later) (10 Years +)
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and developing SQL Server databases, tables, views, queries, functions, stored procedures, indexes, scheduled jobs, triggers, packages, and performance tuning for SQL Server implementations (8 Years +)
• Demonstrated experience with Enterprise BI or other analytic / data warehouse technology (preference given to Power BI administration) (10 Years +)
• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and deploying SSRS reports and / or PowerBI dashboards (5 Years +)
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing the implementation of technical solutions in an operational environment (8 Years +)
• Demonstrated experience in architecture where multiple systems and domains need be considered from an enterprise view (8 Years +)
• Demonstrated experience with Cognos / Impromptu (3 Years +)
