Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Drafter in our Power Solutions’ engineering team. The candidate will be based out of our Vancouver, BC office. Drafters are a vital member of our engineering team and supports our project teams to deliver quality engineering documents. Salary range - $80,000-$110,000

- Diploma in Computer Aided Design technology from an accredited University / College or equivalent
- Minimum 7-year drafting experience in transmission, substation, and distribution
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD 3D, Revit or Civil 3D
- Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
- MS Office
- 2D, Isometric CAD drafting & manual drafting
- 3D modelling including BIM
- Knowledge of electrical safety design codes and industrial drafting standards
- Becoming proficient with standards from multiple clients and pass on knowledge to peers in the team
- Creating plans, profiles and cross sections from surveys and maps
- Paying excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Being open minded and fast learner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a multi-disciplinary team environment with minimal supervision
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume and deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
