School Bus Driver Part Time - OTTAWA West Routes

Pay Range

Base pay range CA$23.00/yr - CA$23.00/yr

Your role

  • You are responsible for safely transporting what we call "the most precious cargo" to and from school
  • Ensure students' safety while boarding and exiting buses
  • Be responsible for performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety
  • Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus

Requirements

  • You are safety focused
  • You hold a valid minimum full Ontario G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers
  • You are 21 years of age or over
  • You possess clean driving record and criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
  • You have a sound knowledge of the Ottawa West region and surrounding areas
  • You have the ability to work independently
  • You are available for the required split shifts of 4-5 hours total, that could run: Monday - Friday between 6:30am - 9:30am and 1:30pm - 5pm
  • You possess solid communication skills. There will be a pre-hire driving skills and radio communication assessment

Your location

  • We offer a competitive hourly driving rate $23.00 per hour
  • PLUS there is a $2000 retention bonus for qualifying drivers - your commitment really PAYS!
  • You will be compensated for a 4 hour minimum daily split if you take the morning and afternoon for a full route
  • Opportunities are available with charters for extra hours
  • EAP and Perks programs for all drivers
  • The FT full comprehensive benefit package is available if you work 30+ hours or more per week.
  • Most routes are 20-25 hours per week
