About the Position

Our Candiac facility is currently looking for a Production Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting the general maintenance of their work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

General maintenance of your work environment

Lubrication of plant equipment

Handling containers and bags up to 25 kg

Operation of a forklift truck (must have a valid driver's license)

Operation of a valve bagging machine and its daily maintenance

Operation of a bagging machine for one-ton bags (tote).

Required Skills and Qualifications

Able to work in a team

Perform required tasks on an as-needed basis

Learn and follow work rules and policies

Produce the right documentation

Punctuality and attendance at work

Capacity to :

Climb steps and use ladders

Lift 25 kg bags repeatedly over the course of a day

Be sitting or standing for long periods of time

Work at height

Bend, kneel, and squat

Work in various environmental conditions, hot and cold temperatures and dusty conditions

Work 12-hour shifts on weekdays and weekends, and work overtime when required by management

Education or Work Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

A safe work attitude

Respectful and positive

Basic computer and mathematical knowledge

Must be proactive and participate in food safety programs

Additional Information

Work in accordance with local / provincial legislation

Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements

All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.
