Description de posteAt least 2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing, particularly metal fabrication and quality control. Must have welding certification or MIG welding ticket. Experience with steel and grinding is required. Knowledge of machines and tools Ability to identify and measure material High school graduate or equivalent. Demonstrated a professional, positive attitude and possesses a strong, dependable work ethic. Articulate – good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of health and safety principles and applications in the welding shop / workplace.
Our client, a leading medical device manufacturer in Scarborough, is looking for certified MIG Welder to join their team for a 3 month assignment.
Shift : 8 : 30 am-5 pm (Monday to Friday)
Location : Scarborough, ON (McNicoll & Markham)
Pay rate : $25 / hr plus 4% vacation pay =$26 / hr
Job Responsibilities :
- Setting up welding machines and using specific welding procedures.
- MIG welding of steel components based on specifications.
- Assemble items as instructed by your team lead.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment manually (up to 40lbs).
- Other duties as assigned.
