National Event Management is looking for a motivated, Junior Sales Development Representative to join our National Franchise Shows team. These market leading events are held in over 25 cities annually across North America! Our company culture is team first and people first, and this is a high‑energy, hunter role for someone who thrives on prospecting, building pipelines, and driving new business opportunities. This is a hybrid role at our Markham office. This entry-level position is intended to build foundational skills and experience, with the potential for growth into an Account Manager / Business Development Representative role.

What You’ll Do :

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be on the front lines of our sales efforts, identifying and engaging potential exhibitors for our franchise shows across the United States. Your primary focus will be qualifying leads, initiating conversations, and setting up calls for our senior sales team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Proactively prospect and generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, email, and social media
  • Research and identify potential franchise brands and service providers that would benefit from exhibiting at our shows
  • Qualify prospects and set up calls / meetings for our Senior Sales Team.
  • Maintain accurate records of in our CRM system
  • Stay current on franchise industry trends and emerging brands

  • Tech‑savvy - comfortable learning and leveraging sales tools, CRM platforms, and prospecting technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage prospects via phone, email, and social channels
  • Resilient and persistent - able to maintain momentum and motivation despite challenges
  • Strong Time management skills and organizational skills to balance high‑volume outreach with quality interactions
  • Self‑starter who can work independently
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Coachable attitude with a desire to learn and grow
  • Are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done!
  • Travel in both the US and Canada would be required, and our sales team play key roles at our events in running the shows in addition to building key relationships with exhibitors.

    National Event Management is based in Markham, Ontario, with 35 full‑time employees and over 40 events produced annually. We are one of Canada’s largest and leading producers of consumer events.

    Compensation will be base salary, plus bonuses, plus an available benefit package. The package will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate as all experience, skills and aspects of what a candidate can offer National Event will be considered.
