Summary

Reporting to the Purchaser and working closely with assembly and electrical teams, the shipping & receiving clerk is responsible for receiving / inspecting / recording shipment; maintaining inventory; preparing paperwork and packaging for outgoing shipments, and providing support to purchasing.

Permanent, Full Time, Day Shift

Responsibilities

Receiving :

  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks.
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
  • Verify packages according to order and packing slips.
  • Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
  • Allocate parts to designated places.

Crib :

  • Restock tooling and parts inventories.
  • Adjust inventory in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Excel.
  • Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.

    • Shipping :

  • Write work orders for materials going out for processing.
  • Pack / package outgoing shipments.
  • Label packages with vital information.
  • Take photos.
  • Set up courier shipments.

    • Data Entry :

  • Collaborate with purchaser to get new items entered into system for ordering.
  • Write POs for commercial items, shop related and job related.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in receiving, inventory control or similar position.
  • Computer and data entry skills, experience in Microsoft Dynamics-NAV is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Customs documentation and process is an asset.
  • Previous experience in forklift operation.
  • Valid drivers license and insurable drivers abstract.
