Infosys is looking for a Lead Employee Relations Advisor for its Human Resources team in Mississauga and Calgary, Canada. In this position, you will provide Employee Relations solutions to all levels of employees, managers, and BPHRs, with an emphasis on analysis and resolution of Employee Relations (ER) issues, investigations, and other related matters. The individual will be responsible for leading employee investigations and matters across the Canadian Region for Infosys Limited.

1.Employee Relations

  • Crafting strategies to resolve conflicts and minimize adverse impact on employees and the organization.

Job description

1.Employee Relations

  • Leading and managing workplace investigations, including sensitive cases such as harassment, retaliation, discrimination, and workplace misconduct or threats.
  • Crafting strategies to resolve conflicts and minimize adverse impact on employees and the organization.
  • Managing the disability accommodation process
  • Owning the end-to-end process for Employment Closures / Involuntary Exits
  • 2. Investigation & Compliance Management

  • Overseeing investigations related to employee complaints or disputes, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to best practices in documenting cases.
  • Coordinating with legal counsel when necessary, especially in severe or non-compliant cases, to mitigate legal risks.
  • 3. Program Management & Performance Support

  • Leading the design and implementation of programs and processes related to employee relations and HR compliance.
  • Supporting management and HR Business Partners (BPHRs) in handling performance, attendance, behavior, and disciplinary matters .
  • Driving initiatives for anti-harassment, non-discrimination, and disability accommodation in line with Canadian provincial laws.
  • 4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partnering with business leaders to understand their needs and aligning HR / ER practices accordingly.
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders to operationalize compliance and policies, ensuring that HR practices are aligned with the business objectives.
  • Key Skills Required :

  • Legal & Compliance Expertise : Working knowledge of Canadian provincial employment laws and regulations.
  • Investigation Skills : Ability to conduct thorough, fair, and objective investigations.
  • Conflict Resolution : Developing and implementing strategies to resolve employee grievances and minimize organizational impact.
  • Communication & Influence : Providing clear, consistent, and professional advice and guidance to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Project Management : Leading and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Confidentiality & Sensitivity : Handling sensitive employee relations matters with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree in HR Management field is required
  • 4-6 years of employee relations experience or 5-8 years as a HR Generalist, BPHR / HRBP, handling investigations within their roles
  • Working knowledge of Canada Local and Provincial employment laws and regulations. Knowledge of the leave requirements, and other legal protections afforded by Medical, disability leaves, Human Rights codes, AODA and other applicable laws.
  • French fluency (written and spoken) is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills & ability to multitask and manage a fluctuating workload
  • Ability to commute to and work from an Infosys office 1-2x weekly and / or as required. Travel up to 10-15%
