Responsable expédition et réception/Picker Packer

Comment ferez-vous la différence ?

En tant que membre de l'équipe Expédition/Réception, vous serez chargé(e) d'exécuter un large éventail de processus d'expédition et de réception, y compris les expéditions de produits entrants, d'organiser la marchandise pour la livraison et de tenir des registres concernant ces transactions.

A quoi ressemblera votre journée type ?

  • Vérifie et tient des registres sur les expéditions entrantes et sortantes et prépare les articles pour l'expédition : Compare les informations d'identification et compte, pèse ou mesure les articles des expéditions entrantes et sortantes afin de vérifier les informations par rapport aux connaissements, aux factures, aux commandes ou à d'autres dossiers.
  • Détermine la méthode d'expédition en utilisant sa connaissance des procédures d'expédition, des itinéraires et des tarifs.
  • Appose les étiquettes d'expédition sur les cartons emballés.
  • Assemble des conteneurs en bois ou en carton ou sélectionne des conteneurs préassemblés.
  • Insère les articles dans les conteneurs à l'aide d'intercalaires, de produits de remplissage et de rembourrages de protection.
  • Cloue les couvercles sur les caisses en bois et lie les conteneurs avec du ruban métallique à l'aide d'une machine à cercler.
  • Déballe et examine les expéditions entrantes, rejette les articles endommagés, enregistre les manques et correspond avec l'expéditeur pour rectifier les dommages et les manques.
  • Achemine les articles vers les services.
  • Examine les expéditions sortantes pour s'assurer qu'elles sont conformes aux spécifications.
  • Marquer les articles en stock avec les numéros d'articles appropriés à l'aide d'un équipement d'étiquetage.
  • Soulever et déplacer les articles/emballages vers l'endroit assigné.

\Que voulons-nous savoir sur vous ? (Exigences et qualifications)

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires au minimum.
  • Un an d'expérience en usine dans le domaine de l'expédition et de la réception.
  • Vous devez pouvoir lire et écrire l'anglais, suivre des instructions verbales et faire des calculs simples.
  • Lire et comprendre des instructions simples.

  • Chariot élévateur à fourche

Éligibilité à l'emploi :

Wabtec n'emploiera que des personnes légalement autorisées à travailler au Canada pour ce poste. Toute offre d'emploi est subordonnée à la réussite d'une vérification des antécédents.

Langue de travail pour les postes situés en permanence au Québec

L’entreprise offre des services de reconditionnement et de mise aux normes AAR de pièces entrant dans la fabrication des trains et des locomotives. Le travail se fait en anglais par nécessité de traçabilité à travers un cheminement avec d’autres établissements hors Québec. Les clients sont principalement situés à l’étranger, et l’interaction avec les partenaires de l’extérieur du Québec est constante. Par conséquent, la connaissance de l’anglais pour ce poste est requise.

La connaissance du français est requise pour les postes situés en permanence au Québec afin que le titulaire puisse communiquer au besoin avec ses collègues et les fournisseurs au Québec. Une formation en français sera offerte à tout titulaire d’un poste permanent au Québec qui ne possède pas une bonne connaissance du français.

Who will you be working with?

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Shipping / Receiving team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of shipping and receiving processes including incoming shipments of products, organize merchandise for delivery and keep records regarding these transactions.

What do we want to know about you? (Requirements and Qualifications)

  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • One year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
  • Read and comprehends simple instructions.

  • Forklift

What will your typical day look like?

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
  • Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers and protective padding.
  • Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape using strapping machine
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Routes items to departments.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • Mark inventory items with proper item numbers using labeling equipment
  • Lift and move items/packages to assigned location.

Employment Elligibility:

Language of work for positions permanently located in Quebec :

The company offers refurbishing and AAR compliance services for parts used in manufacturing trains and locomotives. Work is conducted in English due to the need for traceability through a pathway with other establishments outside Quebec. Clients are largely foreign and interaction with partners from outside Quebec is constant. Accordingly, knowledge of English is required for this position.

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and suppliers in Quebec as necessary. French-language training will be offered to all incumbents in permanent positions in Quebec who do not have a good knowledge of French.
