Morrison Hershfield’s Horizontal Infrastructure (HI) Business Unit has developed some of the Canadian market’s most notable infrastructure projects and we are highly committed to delivering outstanding quality while meeting our clients’ needs. Our team of Planners, Engineers and Contract Administrators deliver infrastructure solutions that drive economic growth and social prosperity.Assist in the delivery of road/highway design and transportation planning projects.
Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer aided design tools.
Prepare construction contract documents and engineering specifications.
Perform transportation engineering analysis and quantification tasks.
Complete civil construction project inspections.
Coordination of the delivery of transportation projects with the internal and external project team.
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
Eligibility for E.I.T., P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation is an asset.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in roadway design and/or transportation planning.
Knowledgeable in the application of transportation engineering principles and design standards.
Knowledgeable in the application of computer aided design programs including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Knowledge in traffic modeling software (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM or EMME/3) would be an asset.
Civil construction project experience would be an asset.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to generate high quality work.
Ability to work both individually and as a member of a larger team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
