Full–time, permanent position working approximately Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Role Overview
Directly accountable to the Site Manager & Head of Residential Services, the Assistant Manager Maryknoll supports day‑to‑day operations of the therapeutic community, providing clinical expertise, supervision and support to team members and residents. The role ensures staffing coverage across all shifts and supports the site to operate a safe, high‑quality service for all clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Site Manager and Head of Residential Services in executing action plans derived from the organisation's strategic plan, achieving program‑level targets.
- Provide continuous oversight and review of the collaborative service model, operational procedures, systems and processes to support high‑quality delivery of services.
- Assess goals of specialised teams within a program, optimising collective efforts to reach program‑level targets.
- Support team‑level recruitment and onboarding strategies, ensuring capable and diverse talent is selected and onboarded in line with organisational goals.
- Support staff performance across clinical practice, professional conduct and development, ensuring supervision and annual performance reviews are undertaken.
- Manage rostering and accurately record staff hours, preparing timekeeping for each pay period.
- Assist Site Management in optimising resource allocation across the organisation.
- Support delivery of effective treatment and interventions.
- Drive development of site policy related to client care and case management.
- Contribute to evidence‑based care planning and outcome‑focused service delivery.
- Contribute to implementation of trauma‑informed practice centred on each individual's care.
What We're Looking For
Experience managing, supervising and leading teams to achieve strategic and operational outcomes, with an understanding of effective staff management strategies.High level of interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with diverse groups of people with complex needs with compassion.Excellent time‑management skills, adaptable and able to reprioritise as required.Advanced therapeutic skills with extensive knowledge of the AOD service system, trauma‑informed care and principles of harm minimisation.Tertiary qualifications in Health Science, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or similar; qualifications in AOD and / or mental health.Certificate IV in AOD or 4 AOD core competencies.Ideally previous experience working within a therapeutic community or residential setting.Benefits
