Join Us! Our team is looking for Part Time General Labourers for our Brampton Plant located at 145 East Drive, Brampton, Ontario, L6T 1B9. Shift Time

Combination Morning and Afternoon Shift

What we have to offer

  • $21.65 / hour to start - $22.85 / hour after 6 months - $24.05 / hour after 1 year
  • Annual Increases based on Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • $1000 referral bonus for each successful referral
  • Part Time Position, varying hours may apply

Job Description

  • Take an active role in changeover procedures and achieve line speed efficiencies
  • Visual quality checks of product against customer and internal specifications (including foreign materials and weight checks)
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility
  • Adhere to individual Product Standard Operating Procedures for components and packaging material
  • Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with Health and Safety requirements
  • Pack various meat products into trays / boxes
  • Operate slicing machine and weight scale, if necessary
  • Complete all checklists correctly in a timely manner
  • Pushing & pulling of skids and racks
  • Other duties as required / assigned

    • Requirements :

  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken English
  • Attention to detail with basic computer skills and strong leadership skillsCapable of lifting 25kg
  • Require to stand for 8 hours with some lifting and bending
  • Ability to follow and execute instructions given by Managers / Supervisors
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Work in conditions under 10˚C
  • Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
