Learning Specialist

Terms : Full time / Permanent

Salary : Commensurate with experience

Location : Remote (Canada) | Possibility for hybrid work model (Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Learning Specialist serves as an integral team member of the education development team, reporting to the Program Manager. The standards content development business unit creates HSO standards, assessment programs and quality improvement solutions. HSO standards serve as the basis for cutting-edge accreditation programs and robust public policies.

In this role, the Learning Specialist will work independently, while seeking guidance or support when needed, in order to complete their content development deliverables on time and in scope. You will be co-designing, developing and delivering a highly interactive, just-in-time curriculum for HSO clients in an energized and progressive environment.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Collaborates with team members across business units, subject matter experts and the education team in the development of Standards, Quality and Safety content
  • Designs the content for online learning courses, integrating interactive and multimedia components in training content
  • Managing the LMS platform including course setup, user management, tracking, and reporting
  • Must Have Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in educational design, instructional design, educational technology, or related degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in designing and developing adult learning, with a focus on online training environments
  • Strong understanding of adult learning design principles, including ADDIE methodology
  • Knowledge of eLearning standards for tracking and interoperability within LMS (SCORM, xAPI)
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and video editing tools (Camtasia) for creating and editing multimedia content
  • Outstanding communication skills, understanding user experience
  • Exceptional team player
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization skills, able to manage multiple competing project deliverables
  • Project management skills
  • Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual in French and English
  • proficiency with LMS platforms (Brightspace)
  • Experience in audio-video production and editing
  • Experience in the healthcare sector, clinical quality improvement and patient safety
  • Background in standards development, accreditation or regulation
