Technical Assistant - Solar Energy Developer

Position : Full-time

Time Zone : EST (Eastern Standard Time)

Overview :

We are seeking a Technical Assistant who will work directly with and assisting the executive team of a growing solar energy project developer based in Markham, Ontario . The successful candidate will assist with the production of supporting documentation, including technical drawings , reports , and data analysis . This role requires experience with AutoCAD , Google Sheets , and the ability to perform analysis based on large datasets.

Key Responsibilities :

AutoCAD Drafting & Technical Drawings :

• Create rooftop solar panel layouts that adhere to design best practices, code requirements, and shade considerations.
• Produce scaled mechanical drawings , including dimensions, showing design perspectives (e.g., plan view, profile).
• Review and create drawings over scaled architectural roof drawings .
• Interpret and draft architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings .
• Prepare 3D modeling of solar system designs as needed.
