Senior Environmental Planner

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Environmental Planner in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Our client, a leader in the oil and gas pipeline industry, with operations throughout Canada has immediate need for a Senior Environmental Planner for a full-time, 1-year contract with possibility of extension in Calgary, AB location. Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement strategies for obtaining environmental regulatory authorizations and for responding to public, regulatory and legislative scrutiny of project environmental issues
• Develop and implement negotiating strategies to influence regulatory initiatives and industry standards
• Provide project management for permitting and compliance work for complex and large projects including strategic planning, execution planning, budgeting and scheduling
• Working closely with internal project teams and Indigenous Relations, Land and Community and Stakeholder relations
• Conducting technical reviews, document reviews and reviewing environmental impact and mitigation planning
• Support for regulatory inspection and community engagement on the project sites
