Role
Looking for a Structural Engineer with expertise in Static Linear-NonLinear Analysis, Dynamic Modal-Transient-Random-Harmonic Analysis and Fatigue Damage–Life Estimation calculations to support Rolling Stock structural design. Engineer will be embedded with a cross‑functional team in St-Bruno, delivering engineering reports and calculations aligned with North American rail standards and Quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Static, Dynamic and Fatigue structural calculations using Hypermesh for meshing and Optistruct for analysis.Prepare and release calculation reports and technical documentation.Ensure compliance with customer project specific methodology and rail standards.Align with customer engineering process & quality assurance requirements.Implement formal deliverable protocols and change control procedures.Support workload planning, scheduling, and budgeting.Provide weekly status reports and participate in team meetings.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.5–8+ years in structural calculations (rail or heavy industry preferred).Experience with fatigue and static analysis tools / methods.Strong technical writing and documentation skills.Bilingual (English / French) is an asset.Tool : Hypermesh for meshing, Optistruct for analysis.#J-18808-Ljbffr
