  • Office : Burnaby BC or Remote (Canada)
  • Hours of Work : 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm Pacific Time. Additional hours as required to resolve critical production issues.
  • Reports To : Manager, Research and Development

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and requires working in the PST timezone. Travel is needed 1-2 times per year for team events at the Burnaby, BC office.

What your impact will be :

Write and maintain application code that meets software requirements and design specifications.

Analyze code and implement fixes for software bugs.

Perform unit, integration, regression, and system testing as required.

Review code for technical accuracy, standards, and functional compliance to the requirements.

Apply best practices and company standards, such as configuration management and version control.

Provide Level 3 application and technical support for the SDS applications.

Mentor junior team members with coaching, advice, and feedback.

Work within deadlines in relation to product release timelines, and consistently complete assigned development tasks in required timeframes.

Recommend and implement improvements to development methodology, processes, and tools.

Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for :

University degree / diploma in Information Technology or equivalent experience.

5+ years of software development experience.

Proficiency in .NET C# and JavaScript frontend frameworks.

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and data modeling.

Experience troubleshooting and debugging production environments.

Experience mentoring junior developers.

Strong understanding of software design and architecture.

Ability to translate Product Requirements into Technical Requirements.

Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

Understanding of agile development practices.

Awareness of security best practices in the context of software development.

Ability to work well and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced small team environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What would make you stand out :

Proficiency in ASP.NET Core and Vue.js.

Prior experience with ERP software - Financial and / or Human Resources / Payroll.

Use of 4GL programming languages.

Experience with GitLab Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment.

Experience developing, deploying, and supporting containerized applications in Microsoft Azure.
