Summary
Reporting to the Operations Leader and receiving work direction from a Registered Nurse / Registered Psychiatric Nurse the Resident and Rehabilitation Care Attendant performs personal care duties for Residents or Rehabilitation Patients related to hygiene and grooming eating mobilization and other activities of daily living to enhance independence of Residents / Rehabilitation Patients supports participation in daily life and ensures a safe environment. Work is based on the mission vision and values of Providence Health Care and established guidelines.
Opened in 1991 St. Vincents Langara is a three-story facility featuring a spacious atrium on the main floor. This atrium leads to a charming patio complete with gardening areas for residents to enjoy. Additionally the serene atmosphere is enhanced by a peaceful chapel adorned with beautiful stained-glass windows. Langara is a long-term care home to 196 residents and a team of exceptionally friendly and collaborative staff members. St. Vincents : Langara is not just a care facility; it is a community where the combination of a welcoming ambiance and supportive staff dynamics contributes to the overall quality of life for staff involved.

What You Bring
Education
Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Resident Care Attendant Program or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work. Ability to operate related equipment.
