Cook – Manyaman Foods

Job Details

  • Location : Ajax, ON, L1T 2K9
  • Work setting : Restaurant (on site)
  • Employment type : Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Salary : $28.00 per hour
  • Start date : As soon as possible
  • Vacancies : 3
  • Flexible hours : Yes (to be determined)

Responsibilities

  • Co‑coordinate special events
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations

    • Qualifications

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years experience in culinary or kitchen services
  • Proficiency in Pampanga or Kapampangan language (preferred)
  • Safe Food Handling certificate and Food Safety Certificate
  • Criminal record check, medical exam, drug test required
  • Availability to work flexible hours (to be determined)
