WHAT WE'RE OFFERING :
What you'll be making - Starting rate for this role is $27.14 per hour (Level 1 – Direct Service), with a wage differential, based on regulation ( $30.01 per hour for Level 1 – Direct Service, Regulated) :Successful candidates who are registered with one of the designated professional colleges (e.g. OCSWSSW, CNO, COTO, CRPO, CPSO, or CPO) will receive the wage differential for regulation
Successful external applicants will start at Level 1, with grid progression based on seniority up to Level 8 ($34.41 per hour for non-regulated, and $37.26 per hour for regulated)For internal applicants, grid level placement will occur as per the Collective AgreementWhen you'll work - 70 hours biweekly; Rotating day, evening and weekend shiftsYour pension plan – Eligible for immediate enrolment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)What your benefits will be – 9% in lieu of benefits.HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE :
Assess clients’ needs for skill development and supportAssess social and environmental factors impacting the clientAssess the adequacy of resources / supports currently available to the clientDetermine the impact of psychiatric symptoms on functioningIdentify risk factors related to client and staff safety as well as relapseAssess barriers to successful community living (e.g. treatment options, transportation, finances, etc.)Ensure the assessment incorporates cultural and ethnic factorsAssist the client to identify his / her personal goals and preferences and utilize standardized tool (GAIN, OCAN, etc)Assist the client to navigate systems and connect to appropriate resourcesAssist the client to explore options and consequences of different choicesHelp clients identify practical strategies for achieving their visionEnsure issues related to transportation are addressed, incorporated into the rehab plan and are consistent with organizational policies and practicesEstablish an intervention plan which includes expectations and responsibilities of the client, TCM, other supports (e.g. family) and resources, as well as the frequency and nature of interventionsother sourcesProvide needed information and education about mental illness, coping skills, services, resources, self-help and consumer initiatives / supportsEncourage and facilitate personal growth and development towards rehabilitation and recoveryMeet with the client regularly to work on specific goals until other permanent supports are in placeAssist the client to obtain needed resources by educating and supporting the client to access resources, linking the client to appropriate services, advocating with or for the client when neededDemonstrate knowledge of community resources and its place within the mental health care systemWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY :
Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements
Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 2 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.
We require the following qualifications :
Degree or diploma in a health or social service related discipline ( Primary proof of credentials will be required during the hiring process, i.e. original degree / diploma / certificate or official transcript)Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle with adequate insurance to carry out job dutiesDemonstrated ability to attend work regularlyWe prefer the following qualifications :
