The Childcare Managing Coordinator assumes responsibility for achievement of contractual outcomes and provides a safe welcoming and enriched environment for children whose parents attend classes at MOSAIC. The Managing Coordinator works with internal community agency and funding partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Knowledge :
Programming and childcare issues; BC Childcare Services Policy and Standards manual; Canadian childcare standards development needs of children needs and interests of children from diverse communities who face barriers as immigrants / refugees and specific knowledge related to the function or the focus of the program project or service
Education / Certifications : Completion of high school Early Childhood Education / Infant toddler / Special needs diploma or certificates. Updated BC license to practice Food Safe Certificate an asset Sign Language Certificate an asset
Experience
More than five years of experience in evaluating and developing curriculum materials providing activities and facilitating play-based activities for children and their parents / caregivers; work with an immigrant population and / or diverse cultural backgrounds and / or comparable education or other program or project specialties.
Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
COMPENSATION : $31.26 - $34.32 per hour
HOURS : Full Time 35 hours
The successful candidate must be able to commute to Vancouver Licensed Childcare at 2710 Commercial Drive Vancouver British Columbia V5N 5P4
