Catholic Family Services of Peel-Dufferin (CFSPD) is a non-profit, charitable organization reflecting the values consistent with Catholic social teachings. CFSPD is a dynamic, growing family service agency serving all areas of Peel and Dufferin.
The Helping End Abuse for Life (HEAL) program offers counselling, therapeutic and psychoeducational groups for mothers and children who have experience intimate partner and family violence. Referrals to the program are received through community partners or self referral. The HEAL program is part of the HEAL Network comprised of 20 community partners delivering a community-based services and supports. The program is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.
Position Summary
CFSPD is currently seeking a Program Supervisor 35 hours / week (Full-time – On Site) for our HEAL program who will be responsible for the day to day running of the program. This includes overseeing all aspects of program implementation and delivery.It is the Program Supervisor’s responsibility to ensure that the highest standards in programming and delivery are maintained.

Responsibilities
Coordination
- Liaise with community and service providers regarding the HEAL program.
- Assist Manager in the overall coordination of the day-to-day activities of the HEAL
program
Liaise with HEAL Network partners to ensure seamless delivery of services and referralsto clients
Co-chair the HEAL Network MeetingsManage the process of outreach funding allocations to Network partnersEnsure high level of quality in program delivery through the effectivecoordination / oversight of program administration, promotion, scheduling,
equipment / supplies, evaluations, guest speakers, and facilitator scheduling.
Attend to ongoing issues / conflicts with programming whether related to clients,volunteers or staff.
Develop and organize trainings for the HEAL Network partnersProgram Management
Assist in the development of short- and long-term plans for the HEAL program, monitorprogress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.Assist in design of performance objectives and implement and monitor programming tomeet desired outcomes.
Facilitate groups and workshops as neededProvide therapy and counselling for clients in the HEAL programSupervise staff, students, and volunteers by articulating expectations, displaying modelbehaviour, maintaining open lines of communication and being clear about roles and
responsibility.
Identify open positions and follow hiring and training procedures in a timely manner.Assist in the development of workshop / program content.Complete reports and monitor the HEAL program and its development.Review waiting lists to ensure clients are assigned to groups in a timely manner and / orreferred to appropriate services.
Provide crisis consultation and conflict resolution for staff, interns and volunteers.Assist with client service delivery as required.Respond to client complaints or concerns.Community Involvement
Positively and professionally represent CFSPD in the community by participating andcollaborating with community partners, agencies and parishes on various projects,committees and initiatives as requested.Network with external sources in the exchange of information through public speaking,providing in-service training, attending conferences and symposiums.
Assist with the development and deliver of HEAL outreach events to increase communityunderstanding of the HEAL Network services.
Administration
Ensure database maintenance which includes staff, volunteer, or client information andmailing list.Oversight of the program registration processes including management of the HEAL client’sdatabase.
Ensuring the accuracy of all programs related promotional materials in the agency.Prepare a variety of reports.Qualifications
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a bachelor's degree in social work,psychology, or related field combined with equivalent experience.Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as program supervisor.Registration (or eligibility for registration) with a health regulated college (e.g. College ofSocial Workers, Psychotherapists or Psychologists).
Working knowledge of dynamics of family violence including Intimate Partner Violenceand its effects on all family members
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for programming and working with childrenwho experienced trauma
Applied work experience with children who have been exposed to intimate partner andfamily violence
Working knowledge of supporting and connecting with clients who are mandated toattend programs
Comfort working with male clients involved in the justice systemKnowledge of trauma informed principles and their application in a supervisory roleAbility to work from an anti-oppressive, and anti-racist frameworkUnderstanding of all facets of diversity and ability to work and supervise from a lens ofequity and inclusion
Ability to represent the agency to the staff, clients, and community by ensuring the bestimage is presented.
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiplepriorities.
Experience supervising students is an asset.Enthusiastic, warm, and friendly personality, with a demonstrated client-serviceorientation.
Independent and self-directed with the capability to operate with reduced directsupervision on occasion.
Application knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).Excellent written and oral communication skills including report writing.Excellent listening skills and confidence in talking to people both in groups and on a oneto-one basis.Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish, maintain and nurture teams,and productive working relationships with other community-based organizations.
Ability to work with a forward-thinking mindset in a fast-paced, and ever-changingenvironment.
