Role Summary
Seeking a Civil Engineering professional with experience in the nuclear power generation industry to support advanced structural analysis activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks, and experience with specialized engineering tools. This role requires a solid foundation in seismic engineering and finite element methods to support complex project needs in a dynamic work environment
Responsibilities
- Analysis of structures, including concrete and steel, use of finite element method analyses.
- Working with the following codes preferred : ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC N690, Steel Construction Manual and Seismic Design Manual.
Qualifications
Proficiency in the Seismic structural analysesProficiency in ANSYS APDL is required. With the ability to build detailed models, perform static and seismic runs, and develop or modify post-processing scriptsProficiency in LS-Dyna is a preferredComputer programing skills (e.g. Matlab, or Python) is not required, but preferred.Proficiency in concrete, steel and composite structures analysis and designAISC / N690 experience is a preferredP.E. (US candidates), P. Eng. (Canada candidates) certification preferredAdditional Desired Characteristics
