Adecco in partnership with The Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects (ICCE) an Indigenous-founded, Indigenous-led, and exclusively Indigenous-serving organization that supports Indigenous communities to address cumulative effects through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach is seeking a Director of Operations.
The primary objective is to build and enhance the technical and scientific capacity of Indigenous communities across Canada, based on the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities.
As a resource, ICCE provides funding for community-led projects, share knowledge, and link Indigenous communities together, working towards intergenerational decision-making and partnership building.
About You
You are a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience in managing a diversified portfolio of organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration.
Your expertise isn't necessarily in the intricacies of each of these fields, but in effectively administering and optimizing them.
You're most proficient in financial oversight, balancing day-to-day management with long-term strategic objectives. Skilled in working in a technology-driven environment, you're adept at using digital tools to enhance productivity and achieve organizational goals.
You anticipate problems before they become issues, offering invaluable foresight in a fast-paced setting.

About the Role
The Director of Operations is a senior position responsible for overseeing the operational functions of our non-profit. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our services and administration, while supporting our long-term strategic initiatives.
You will also oversee the fractional management of external service providers in areas such as legal, financial services, HR, IT, board services, and travel & events.
You will be responsible for building internal capacity for these functions with the goal of transitioning to a fully-internal delivery of administrative and financial services within two to three years.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight : Manage and optimize diversified organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration.
Stakeholder and Partners Management : Build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners, including government bodies, community groups, and funders.
Resource Allocation and Budget Control : Oversee budgeting and the allocation of resources, focusing especially on financial management and oversight.
Risk Management : Implement and maintain adequate policies and procedures to protect the organization from legal and operational risks.
Service Provider Management : Administer and oversee fractional managed service providers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and quality service delivery.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years in senior management roles with similar organizations, demonstrating deep experience in administering HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration teams.
At least 10 years of relevant career experience in an operations capacity, with a strong focus on financial management.
High degree of technological proficiency is essential, given the fully digital nature of our operational processes.
