Wood is currently accepting applications for Pipefitter/Steamfitter Journeyperson (Adhoc) Offshore personnel, with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This role will be located offshore Newfoundland and Labrador and will be a casual call-out role. The successful candidate will be willing and eligible to travel Offshore via helicopter or supply vessel.
As a Pipefitter/Steamfitter Journeyperson, you will be responsible for lay out, fabrication, assembly, installation and maintenance of piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. In this role you will also be using power tools, rigging equipment, and hand tools. You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions. Work may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures.

- Successful completion of 4 Period Apprenticeship (minimum of 1,560hrs per period, directly related to the trade), followed by Journeyperson Certification OR a valid Journeyperson Certificate issued by another Canadian province or Territory with Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
- All journeypersons must demonstrate competence in their trade
- The following Offshore Certificates and Training is required and would be considered an asset: Basic Survival Training (BST) including HUET and HUEBA Rigging, Slinging, and Banksman Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Alive Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015) Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness Fall Protection Confined Space Entry Standard First Aid

Physical Requirements
- Must pass a site-specific drug and alcohol test and CAPP Medical as required by the customer
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
- Able to move and work in confined spaces, following proper protocol
- May be required consistently to work 12-hour shifts performing physical labour in varying temperature extremes and conditions. May be required to work overtime on occasion
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds and steel framework, utilizing proper fall arrest procedures when required. Able to safely and comfortably work at heights without posing a danger to oneself or others
- Able to meet physical requirements of frequent walking, climbing, standing, bending, twisting and crawling for the duration of the shift
