Laboratory Team Lead
The Laboratory Team Lead is an intermediate role in the laboratory. The position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of laboratory station operations.
This position is given direction from the Lab Supervisor and / or Manager and provides direction to lab staff.
Responsibilities :
- Perform Laboratory Technician Duties as required
- Ability to perform and mentor on all aspects of Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures and provide technical assistance for the lab or station
- Communicate lab daily activities and recommendation for improvement to Lab management
- Maintain lab instrumentation
- Assist in root cause analysis and provide recommendation to Lab Management
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Technical Diploma or degree in Science required
- Experience in fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement is essential
- 3+years hands on laboratory experience in a senior role
- Ability to problem solve, coach, and organize
- Knowledge of full laboratory processes
- Advanced Computer Skills
- Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment :
This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks.
PPE is required where applicable.
