As theJourneyperson Carpenter you are expected to be engaged in our safety program,executing work in a safe manner, in adherence with CANA policies and allapplicable code regulations and the Act.
- The work requires commuting to andfrom the job site daily.
- The position requiresphysically demanding motions and tasks.
- Candidates are required to be in good physicalcondition, fit for work and prepared to work on project sites outside in allseasons and weather.
YOU WILL
Read and interpretdrawings / blueprints and / or take instructions from site supervisors.Prepare layouts in conformance tobuilding codes, using measuring tools.Complete all tasks ensuring they arelevel, square, plumb and the right size.Rough carpentry, formwork, hoarding.Fit and install trim items such asdoors, stairs, molding and hardware.Be competent in :Safe rigging of loads and hand signalsUse of site hand and power tools,Reading and understanding blueprintsLayout and be able to use a builder’s level.Use of AWP, Scissor list and other access means such as scaffold.Maintaining a safe and clean work areaYOU WILL NEED
CanadianJourneyman Carpentry Certificate and competent in the Carpentry TradeValid Driver’s License or means oftransportation to project sites.Strongcommunication and problem-solving skillsAbilityto thrive in a fast-paced environment while working as part of a team.A good understanding and / or ability to findinformation as needed in the OH&S regulations.WHAT WE PROVIDE YOU
