  • Salary 37.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture
  • Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Estimate costs and materials

    • Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

    • Experience

    1 year to less than 2 years

    Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

    Credentials

  • Working at heights training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

    • Equipment and machinery experience

  • Airless spray equipment
  • Brush painting
  • Patterned rollers
  • Drywall taping / patching
  • Water / hydroblasting
  • Steam cleaning
  • Sandblasters

    • Specialization or experience

  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Aggregate painting
  • Sign painting
  • Novelty and decorative effects
  • Urethanes
  • Metallized coatings
  • Lead based removal and encapsulation
  • Paint spraying

    • Wood finishing specialization

  • Graining
  • Staining

    • Work conditions and physical capabilities
