The Vaudreuil‑Soulanges Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSJVS) is a vibrant non‑profit organization dedicated to nurturing the next generation of classical musicians. Our mission is to teach young artists to play diverse chamber and orchestral music while helping them develop advanced musical skills, gain ensemble experience, and share their passion. By supporting OSJVS, you directly contribute to providing quality musical education and exceptional community performances.

Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled volunteer grant writer to focus on drafting and submitting grant applications based on opportunities identified by the OSJVS team. This critical role directly impacts our ability to secure funding and expand our programs. The position is ideal for a writer or professional seeking experience in non‑profit development and arts administration, with an emphasis on proposal writing and submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Writing & Preparation : Draft compelling, clear, and persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and required supporting documents, using the OSJVS mission and provided funder guidelines.
• Submission : Complete and submit grant applications accurately and on time through various online and physical submission platforms.
• Narrative Development : Work with the OSJVS team to articulate program needs, goals, and impact effectively for each application.
• Reporting Support : Upon funding approval, assist in compiling interim and final reports as required by the funder.
