Description de posteInspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air systems Perform CVIP inspections (if licensed) Complete work orders and document findings using our digital platform Ensure all repairs meet safety and regulatory standards Maintain a clean, organized work area Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision Prioritize safety, compliance, and quality workmanship in every job Journeyman or 3rd / 4th Year Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (required) Experience with commercial vehicles, trailers, and construction equipment (required) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills CVIP license (asset) Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required); Class 3 or higher (asset) Own tools (required) Able to lift 50 lbs and work in various shop and field conditions Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to quality Willingness to participate in ongoing training and cross-training Competitive wages (based on experience) Steady, full-time hours (Monday–Friday, 7 : 30 AM–4 : 00 PM) Tool and boot allowance RRSP matching program (after probation) Health and dental benefits (after probation) Modern, well-equipped shop and mobile service units Supportive, low-turnover team culture Opportunities for advancement as we grow

About the Role
As a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic at IRON 5, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers’ fleets running safely and efficiently. You’ll work both in-shop and with our mobile service units, handling a wide range of repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
