Reporting to the Team Lead, BI solutions, the incumbent is responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of the core Business Intelligence components of the bank’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, including but not limited to; ad-hoc reports, data extracts, and analytic solutions.
The current core BI components are based in various technologies including IBM Cognos, IBM Data Manager, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, additional technologies may be incorporated in the future, including, but not limited to cloud solutions.

Responsibilities
- Understand the data related requirements from business, translate business requirements over to functional specifications.
- Suggest tangible and sustainable data solution based on the requirements from business, avoid introducing technical debts.
- Complete the development, testing and deployment of BI solutions, as assigned by the BI solution lead, including, but not limited to :
Update the functional specifications of the various developments and validate the results in cooperation with teammates and users.
Develop and maintain any additional required documentation and reference structures (including business rules, best practices, methodologies, etc.) for all BI products for which the business unit is responsible.
o Develop and test the BI solutions as defined.
Support the implementation of the BI solution in production.
Participate in the design and development of analytics solutions for corporate initiatives, where required.Coordinate and communicate closely with line of business to understand their reporting needs, be able to translate business requirement into technical solution using existing data capabilities.Ensure rigorous monitoring of development activities and solutions to ensure compliance with set deadlines and budgets.Help support BI production activities when required.Responsible of documenting existing and future analytics processes with their core technologies.Perform all tasks of a similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job.Qualifications
University degree or diploma (or certification) in computer science, business intelligence, or related field, or equivalent work experience.2 + years related experience in a similar role as a functional analyst and analytics developer, or data scientist.Knowledge, skills, and experience working on enterprise size data projects and / or operational teams, within traditional database environments.Knowledge, skills and experience working on EDW / BI projects and / or operational teams, within Oracle and / or SQL Server database environments.Knowledge, skills and experience with SQL, and writing SQL queries.Knowledge, skills and experience as an OLAP Developer, creating analytic cubes, reports and dashboards with IBM Cognos, or other OLAP tools.Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience documenting BI functional and technical requirements.Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience working with data sets, and performing data analysis.Knowledge and experience of cloud technology would be an asset.
Experiences on creating, customizing advance analytics model would be an asset.
Knowledge of the financial industry would be an asset.
