Our  Motive  is to develop innovative action games set in iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Let's say that again—iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars™ : Squadrons to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space™.

Currently, we're working on two exciting projects, an original Iron Man™ action-adventure game and what's coming next for Battlefield™.

Motive is looking for a Technical Designer.

Motive is looking for a  Senior Level Designer  to create extremely fun, satisfying game levels that align with our creative vision.

Responsabilities

  • Design and build major multiplayer levels, within the project’s creative constraints
  • Bring levels through every phase of development from concept to polish
  • Proactively communicate with all stakeholders to ensure a high quality of work
  • Document level design intentions to provide a clear and accessible resource for the team
  • Identify and address potential risks, dependencies & constraints related to level design with other departments while maintaining AAA quality
  • Incorporate feedback from research and playtest data to achieve an excellent multiplayer experience
  • Provide and solicit feedback in a graceful, constructive manner, with suggestions and solutions for improvement to the game editor, processes and project

Qualifications :

You shipped at least one AAA title, have 5+ years experience in level design and :

  • Experience in multiplayer shooter games as a level designer and / or an avid player
  • Strong layout and environment creation skills
  • Experience with visual scripting and level design tools
  • Familiarity with advanced game engine
  • Apt at communicating design intentions to the team
  • Work with partners to implement upon a vision
  • Prototype ideas and share those ideas with important partners
  • Comfort and capability in creative and technical design discussions
  • Interest in the environmental aesthetics
  • Break down tasks and work with production to produce estimates and priorities.
  • Work well in a multidisciplinary team, spanning artists, programmers, and designers.
