Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution and returning to studies in fall 2026.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a significant asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supports in achieving the goals of the strategic infrastructure department.
  • Communicates regularly with project managers and senior management to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Monitors, tracks and communicates project deliverables and provides reports and inputs to leaders.
  • Closely reviews assigned work and provides ideas and solutions for ongoing projects.
  • Gains increased experience and exposure to a diverse range of engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Works with a high attention to detail on assigned tasks and reports progress back to key leaders within the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Working Conditions

  • Normal work week hours are 35 hours / week, 7 hours / day.
  • Normal work is generally carried out in an office work setting. Exposure to indoor / outdoor worksites will occur on occasion.
  • Location of work is in Halifax, NS.

    • Additional Information

  • This opportunity will start approximately first week of May 2026 with an end date in late August 2026.
  • Rate of pay for students is established based on current academic level.
