Social Worker

Tasks

• Answer incoming calls and assess the needs of the caller (domestic violence or suicidal ideation).
• Provide telephone intervention services (active listening, support, and referrals).
• Respond to various clinical information requests (programs, objectives, eligibility criteria, etc.).
• Plan and conduct individual support sessions.
• Complete case files and use various follow-up tools related to intervention activities.
• Follow up on client files and conduct telephone check-ins.
• Participate in group sessions.
• Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in Social Work or related field.
• Must be available two evenings per week (mandatory).
• At least 2 years of experience in a community or social work setting.
• Must attend a minimum of 3 clinical supervision meetings.
• Fluency in spoken and written French.
• Experience working with men (an asset).
• Crisis intervention experience (a strong asset).
• Certified suicide prevention training (or willingness to complete it after being hired).
