• Purpose
• : Reporting to the Area Foreman, the Field Operations Summer Student position requires organized, detail oriented and motivated individuals who are ready to work in a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges. The role involves working alongside team members with extensive and diverse experience within Field Operations and students will gain practical field operations experience to further advance their studies. The successful candidates must be able to work and reside in the Olds, Alberta area for the summer term.
• Responsibilities
• Maintain housekeeping of operational sites and facilities, which includes cleaning and painting
• Assist in vegetation management; weed eating of sites and facilities
• Assist Field Operations as required for compliance including data capture and asset management of equipment
• Support warehouse and supply chain personnel with assigned tasks
• Requirements
• Valid Class 5 license and experienced driving on rural and remote oilfield roads
• Entering, or continuing post secondary education. Preference will be given to applicants who are in a program related to the energy sector.
• Excellent communication and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of team
• Motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic
• Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks
• Possesses a strong commitment to safety
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications
