We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and strategic planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate finance, accounting, and financial management, with a proven ability to drive business development and enhance fiscal performance. This role requires a keen understanding of financial concepts, regulatory compliance, and risk management to ensure the organization meets its financial goals while adhering to industry standards.
Position Summary
The Finance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company’s Canadian mining projects. This role ensures compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulations, manages daily accounting activities, provides financial analysis for management decisions, and coordinates with international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Compliance
- Perform daily accounting in accordance with Canadian Accounting Standards and prepare financial statements compliant with IFRS Canada.
- Conduct regular tax filings to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of local tax matters and annual audits.
- Cost & Budget Management
- Lead the preparation of company cost budgets and monitor cost fluctuations in real-time.
- Analyze cost variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Cash & Risk Management
- Manage company funds and develop cash flow plans to ensure liquidity and financial security.
- Financial Analysis & Decision Support
- Regularly analyze financial performance, operational results, and cash flows.
- Prepare comprehensive English-language financial reports to support management decision-making.
- International Financial Coordination
- Maintain close communication with the Canadian local team and the China finance department to ensure timely and accurate financial information flow.
- Coordinate cross-border financial matters, including international payments and tax planning.
- Records & System Management
- Properly maintain local financial records in compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and optimize the company’s financial systems, providing recommendations for upgrades and functionality enhancements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Credentials : CPA Canada or internationally recognized equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.Industry Experience : Minimum 5 years in finance or 3 years in auditing; experience in Canadian mining projects preferred.Skills & Competencies :Proficient in financial software suitable for Canadian enterprises.Advanced Excel skills for data modeling and analysis.Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; able to handle English financial documents and communicate with international teams.Familiarity with IFRS standards.Personal Attributes :Strong awareness of international financial risk; able to work in a fast-paced multinational environment.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, capable of coordinating effectively with Canadian and China-based teams.Willingness to work on-site at mining locations.Job Types : Full-time, Permanent
