SEO Specialist

We are seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to join our rapidly growing team and lead strategic initiatives across multiple high-value client accounts.

You will drive SEO strategy and serve as a technical authority while maintaining direct client relationships. We're looking for a strategic thinker who can translate complex SEO concepts into actionable recommendations and measurable results.

This is a hybrid role and work is performed from the Ottawa office at least 3 days per week.

Desired Competencies

• Develop and execute SEO strategies across diverse client portfolios
• Lead technical SEO audits and provide advanced optimization recommendations
• Guide content strategy through data-driven keyword research and competitive analysis
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical oversight on client projects
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and strategic guidance

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive SEO strategy development and implementation
• Lead technical site audits and provide advanced optimization recommendations
• Develop search strategies aligned with client business objectives
  
• Create and present executive-level reports and strategic recommendations
• Identify emerging SEO trends and implement innovative solutions
• Guide cross-functional teams in implementing technical SEO recommendations
  
• Manage client relationships and serve as SEO subject matter expert
• Drive process improvements and best practices across the SEO department
• Collaborate with leadership on department strategy and growth initiatives

Experience and Skills

• Professional SEO experience with demonstrated success
• Track record of improving search visibility for websites
• Advanced knowledge of technical SEO, including JavaScript frameworks and API integrations
• Proficiency with major SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.)
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and major CMS platforms
• Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and data visualization
  
• Excellence in stakeholder management and client communication
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
• Track record of successful SEO campaigns
• Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and technical optimization
• Experience with international SEO and multilingual optimization a plus
• Google certification and bilingualism (English and French) preferred
