RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

Under the direction of Dr Laneuville, Director of the Cell Therapy Laboratory, the person participates in the execution of fundamental and clinical research projects. He also performs related administrative tasks as well as scientific writing.

General Duties

Actively participates in the execution of ongoing research projects, such as :

• Supports and supervises laboratory members in their research projects,
• Offers training to new hires, whether students or staff members,
• Establishes research methods and design protocols, advances research and innovates,
• Finds solutions to research problems and resolves design problems,
• Reviews and evaluates research findings and determines results, prepares reports and manuscripts.
• Participates in local, national and international collaborations,
• Participates in group meetings as well as the daily management of research projects,
• Performs other tasks as requested by the immediate superior,
• Performs cell cultures,
• Performs human cell isolation.

Education : Doctorate Degree

Field of Study : Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or equivalent

Work Experience : two (2) to five (5) would be preferable.
