As we continue to grow our business and enhance our service offerings locally, we are eagerly seeking a highly motivated Municipal Team Leader to join our Calgary team.

In this role, you will have the ability to grow a business unit while you collaborate seamlessly with EXP’s multidisciplinary team from our four Western Canadian offices and ninety offices across North America on some of region’s most exciting infrastructure projects! If desired, you will also be given the opportunity to work on some very unique and challenging projects from across North America and abroad.

Your Role & Responsibilities :

Supported by our significant Land Development and Civil Engineering Infrastructure Teams in Calgary, build a team of professionals to meet the consulting needs of municipalities, with a particular focus on Southern Alberta.

Client Delivery

• Manage complex projects for municipalities in Western Canada and advise them on municipal best practices.
• Coordinate the planning, design, and construction management of civil / municipal infrastructure projects involving site grading, site development, street reconstruction, water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, parking, and active transportation.
• Collaborate with a multidiscipline project team and engage with a variety of stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, operations staff, utilities, businesses, and the public.
• Participate in and potentially certify and / or validate engineering designs for roads, water / wastewater, stormwater, and active transportation projects.
• Oversee construction administration, site inspections, and QA / QC compliance.
• Ensure that project needs (particularly budgets and schedules) are met in a timely and effective manner.
• Navigate regulatory frameworks such as Water Act, Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, OH&S, and municipal bylaws.
