Accounts Payable Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our clients team on a contract basis. This role is based remotely but supports operations in the lower mainland, British Columbia and requires someone in the local area. You will oversee a team responsible for managing accounts payable processes, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is a great opportunity to bring your expertise in AP and systems to streamline operations and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient processing of invoices and payments.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, including duplicate entries and coding issues within the NetSuite system.
• Implement process improvements to strengthen controls and streamline operations.
• Conduct payment runs and ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
• Support reporting requirements by generating accurate and detailed financial reports.
• Provide guidance and training to team members, fostering proficiency in NetSuite and other accounting systems.
• Monitor daily AP activities for multiple companies, processing a high volume of invoices.
• Collaborate with team members to address challenges related to account coding and reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with the cleanup of data migration errors and optimize system functionality
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or financial management roles.
• Proficiency in NetSuite software is a must have.
• Strong understanding of construction-related accounting processes.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and proactively resolve issues within AP workflows.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing high volumes of invoices and payments across multiple entities.
• Ability to train and support a team with varying levels of experience.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and financial reporting practices.
