Description de posteDiploma from a technical institute in Civil Engineering / Civil Technology, or equivalent work experience. Previous experience working in engineering consulting would be considered an asset. Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and must provide current driver's abstract; preference given to candidates with a clean driving record. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to properly document sampling and testing information in an accurate and timely fashion. Excellent analytical, problem solving and listening skills. Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the Practice by being a team player. CSA approved Steel Toed Safety Boots required. Your Role
- Working on commercial and industrial projects in a laboratory environment.
- Performing laboratory testing of soil including moisture content, proctor, hydrometer, Atterberg limits, sieves and aggregates as per CSA A23.2 Table 12.
- Assisting in providing quality control and quality assurance on a variety of laboratory projects.
- Assisting in preparation of laboratory programs and test reports.
- The successful candidate will be trained and certified for aggregate and concrete laboratory testing as per CCIL requirements.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
