Description de posteThe Casual Transition House Support Worker provides information, support, advocacy, and referrals to those who identify as women and are fleeing violence. Monitor the 24 hour help line and web chat Connect both residents and callers to services Complete the intake process with new residents and help them settle in Support residents when in crisis Assess each resident’s needs and provide support in developing a safety plan and / or goals Maintain accurate records Ensure the house is secure and safe Ensure the house is clean and adequate food is available The stated wages include shift differentials. Location : Powell River / qathet Regional District
Hours Per Week : up to 36 hours
Schedule : Monday - Sunday, day and night shifts
Salary Or Wage : $31.56 to $36.49 per hour
Start Date : As soon as possible

List of Requirements
- Relevant education, training, and experience
- Understanding of and experience with gender based violence and coercive control
- Understanding of and experience with trauma informed practice
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently with effective problem solving skills
- Understanding of confidentiality
- Respect for the decision‑making process of each client
- Valid first aid certificate, safe food handling certificate, and satisfactory criminal record check
- Willingness to work both day and night shifts (awake)
