Description de posteAzure SQL & Azure SQL Managed Instance (MI) Oracle Exadata deployed in Azure environments Oracle 19c and SQL Server 2019+ Cloud SQL PaaS services (Azure) Oracle Exadata Database Service PostgreSQL on Azure Oracle Exadata, Data Guard, RAC RMAN (backup, restore, PITR) Data Pump (database / data migration) Oracle TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database Knowledge of Commvault Knowledge of Dynatrace Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate Oracle Cloud certifications OCP or equivalent
Our Ottawa based client in the Finance industry is looking for Senior SECRET security Cleared Database Administrator to support enterprise storage and database services across on‑prem and Azure cloud environments. The Consultant will install, configure, maintain, secure, and optimize database platforms while providing operational support and resolving complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server (on‑prem and Azure cloud HA environments).
- Perform database performance tuning, analysis, and monitoring.
- Implement and maintain backup / recovery strategies (RMAN, point‑in‑time recovery).
- Execute database security administration and ensure authorized data access.
- Maintain schema objects and support production migrations.
- Ensure data consistency and adherence to data model standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database technical issues, including complex escalations.
- Support and collaborate with existing DBA teams.
- Deliver additional related tasks as required.
Required Technical Experience (Minimum 5+ Years)
