Responsibilities

To ensure his / her own well as co‑workers’ health and safety it is the responsibility that housekeeping procedures are followed, that the work area is clean and clear from obstructions and that all situations which could potentially result in an accident are immediately pointed out to the Supervisor.

• Wear protective equipment and clothing as determined by company procedures and as posted.
• Ensure that production and plant equipment is maintained as required by procedure, internal practices and standards.
• Participate in preventive maintenance, machine modification, and installation of equipment as required.
• Ensure that production and plant equipment are properly locked out and tagged out as required.
• Maintain all equipment on a regular basis to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions.
• Report usage of all spare parts so that inventory can be properly maintained.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly lubricated at the start of and throughout the shift, as required by the preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure that equipment is properly set up and on time for all production runs.

Make ongoing periodic checks on equipment during operation to ensure satisfactory operation with good output quality and to spot potential problems.

Qualifications

Understanding and ability to trouble‑shoot electrical faults / problems.
