Regional Division Head – Maternal Fetal Medicine, Regional Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Job Summary: We are seeking a Regional Division Head for the Maternal Fetal Medicine division within the Regional Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. The role focuses on leadership, communication, quality improvement, and member support.

Responsibilities

• Developing annual operating objectives for the Regional Division
• Serving as the channel of communication to and from the Regional Division, keeping members informed regarding objectives, policies, and general activities
• Developing, with members, standards of clinical practice for the Regional Division, recommending those standards to the Regional Department, and ensuring compliance
• Encouraging and facilitating continuing medical education programs for Regional Department members
• Arranging and chairing Regional Division meetings as required by governing rules
• Coordinating with universities to promote education programs and research activities, where applicable
• Promoting health and wellness among members
• Fostering a healthy, respectful workplace
• Investigating and documenting complaints regarding care provided by members under the direction of the relevant Regional Department Head / Program Medical Director
• Reviewing human resource requirements with the Regional Division and the Regional Department Head / Program Medical Director
• Contributing to the search and selection of applicants for vacancies in the Regional Division
• Establishing a quality assurance/quality improvement structure and program for the Regional Department, encompassing review, evaluation, and analysis of medical care quality and utilization within Fraser Health

• Active Privileges, CMPA, CPSBC Full, Member of the Department
