About The Role
The Operations Coordinator New Graduate will provide assistance to the Operations Supervisor through field work, learning, development and growth. The operations coordinator will participate in safety, coordination and planning of the ongoing activities at various VCI plant operations to achieve business targets. Recent graduates from post-secondary institutions will be considered.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Safety Culture : Support a zero-injury work environment by engaging with employees on risk assessments, workplace inspections, and adherence to procedures. Promote a culture of safety by communicating, improving, and following health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Quality Control : Ensure daily production meets specifications through active participation in the quality control process. Production Management : Assist the site manager in implementing production plans, metrics, and goals.
- Community Relations : Support the plant manager in maintaining compliance with Amrize and regulatory guidelines, and foster positive community relationships through local activities and events.
- Learning & Development : Participate in designated learning streams to enhance business knowledge.
- Maintenance Management : Contribute to maintenance management through data input and reporting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
What We’re Looking For
Education : Recent graduate from a university / college.
Field of Study Preferred : Civil Engineering, Business, or related field.
Required Work Experience : 0-2 years of industry experience.
Required Training / Certifications : Construction Safety Officer (CSO).
Required Technical Skills : Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and Power BI is an asset.
Travel Requirements : 0 - 20%
