We are seeking energetic, positive and hospitality-driven people to join our dynamic service team. The ideal candidate possesses a genuine love for hospitality, enjoys engaging with guests, thrives in a fast-paced upscale dining environment, and is committed to continuous improvement. A strong background in food and wine with at least 5 years of experience providing top-notch service in a similar setting is required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor; foster a positive and inviting atmosphere throughout the dining experience.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly and courteously.
- Provide exemplary service by delivering orders accurately and efficiently; demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu, including food and beverage offerings, to guide guests through their selections.
- Maintain awareness of dining room flow and collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service.
- Actively seek and welcome feedback from guests; collaborate with colleagues and management to implement feedback and enhance service quality.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members; communicate effectively to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a server in a fast-paced upscale dining establishment.Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.Strong knowledge of food and wine, including pairings and service techniques.Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.Excellent communication and active listening skills.Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment; open to receiving and implementing feedback for continuous improvement.Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs and stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.Available to work weekends and holidays; minimum of 2-3 days per week.Valid work permit for Canada at the time of applying.Unionized position; wage starts at $19.45 per hour plus gratuities.Other
