The Opportunity

• Collaborate with SMEs and MMDs to support lesson development;
• Creating lesson plans (Lesson Design Documents) that outline the structure content and media approach for each unit of learning;
• Creating lesson outlines that describe the lesson structure high-level content and initial media descriptions;
• Organizing content into clear logical topics that support the learning objective(s);
• Creating storyboards by drafting text navigation directives and initial media descriptions while following established style guides and writing standards;
• Preparing media requests tracking media development and incorporating finished media into lessons;
• Building interactive courseware using e-learning authoring tools with guidance from senior team members;
• Revising lessons based on feedback from internal quality assurance reviews and client comments;
• Assisting in drafting help systems instructor guides and student guides; and
• Participating in peer reviews and offering support to other IDs as needed.

• A post-secondary degree in Adult Education Instructional Design or a related field or a degree in any discipline with relevant expereince or coursework;
• Up to one year of experience creating instructional materials lesson plans curriculum or digital courseware (school projects internships or volunteer experience are welcome);

• Clear and confident communication skills;

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with guidance from senior team members;

• Strong research and writing abilities with an interest in learning how to apply them to eLearning;

• Bilingualism in English/French is an asset but not required;

• Eligibility to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance.
